Honkytonk was a beautiful bitch. She is shown taking Best of Opposite over many top ten bitches at the age of 16 months at a Regional Specialty in Bethel, WA under reknown breeder judge Joan Klem. In very limited showing she was ranked in top ten.
Honkytonk produced my very successful "D" litter bred to BIS, BISS, Select, CH Degrasso's Jacob v Waxel CD, RTD. We finished three champions, a CDX, and a PT on this litter. This litter had many Best of Breed and Specialty placers, including a Group 1 in Stephensville, TX by CH Tapferen's Diego vom Lexus. Honkytonk was a Producer of Merit for 1998. I lost my little Honkytonk to cancer in March of 1998.
Jake won many Best in Shows in addition to multiple Best in Specialty Shows. He was the second most winning Rottweiler in the breed to date. This is especially notable in that Jake was retired from the showing at the age of 5 after only two years of being specialed. Jake is now a Gold Producer. Jake was loved by my good friend Linda Orr. She lost Jake in early 2003 also to cancer.
We comfort each other in our loss of these beautiful dogs that did so much to promote the Rottweiler breed in a positive light..

CH Tapferen's Dynamik v Jacob
Dyna was Jake and Honkytonk's first to finish her AKC Championship. She took the show ring by storm finishing in just twenty days. Her first show with her handler, Brian Livingston was March 3, 1998 and she finished on March 23, 1998.
Dyna is owned by Mary Osborne, Apple Valley, CA.
CH. Tapferen's Diego vom Lexus PT
Lexus finished next in July, 1998 by taking two 4 point majors at the Houston Astrodome. Lexus was undefeated in the Open Bitch class.
Lexus is shown winning Best of Breed in Stephensville, TX, June 0f 1999. She also won the Working Group the same day.
Lexus is owned by Darryl and Midori Burgess.

Jager finished next in October 1998. Jager is shown going Best Of Breed with his handler, Brian Livingston.
Jager is owned by his breeder.
